Hay there eveyone.
Well first i want to say that I am going to be working on this whole
"professional looking" type thing. If you happen to notice something done wrong please tell me, because i want to correct that!...Thank You!!
Anywho, this past Tuesday we went to a confrence for future teachers. The teacher of the year for Georgia in 2004 was a guest speaker which was very interesting, but unfortunitly for most of her speach i couldnt hear what she was saying. Im sure it was good though??!! It was nice being able to visit some good teaching colleges that had booths set up for us. Augusta state was there and i have heard very good things about that school, so i might have to be looking into that school.
Ahhhh i have just ran out of time, so im going to finish this up at home, so dont worry ILL BE BACK!! :) ((((i also have a GREAT since of humor)))))

Caitlin,
I love the exhuberance and energy. It just bounced across my screen. You will be a terrific teacher. Nothing is worse than someone without zip in the classroom.
Take your time deciding on a college. Visit a few schools and choose the one that makes you feel comfortable.

Hi Caitlin,
A sense of humor is so important in the classroom!! Take a minute to reflect upon your own classroom experiences. Is there a teacher whose sense of humor you remember? How did that sense of humor affect the students in the class? Can you remember a time when a good laugh woke up a class or diffused a tense situation? And I loved the “I’ll be back”; years ago we had a MAC in the classroom that said that when it was not used for a while. I still use that phrase today at home!
You mentioned having an opportunity to learn about colleges of education and that you had heard some “very good things” about Augusta State. What are those good things? Do you have criteria for selecting the college you want to attend? I immediately went to http://www.ncate.org to see if Augusta State was accredited by that organization and it is. That website lists all the accredited colleges of education in the country by state. And it has a page that suggests what to look for in a teacher education program at http://www.ncate.org/public/lookfor.asp?ch=2. Thought perhaps you might be interested.
You mentioned “If you happen to notice something done wrong please tell me”. I am thinking there is not right or wrong in writing and blogging, it is more about process and improvement and taking ownership of what you do. I can feel your enthusiasm in your writing! It’s pretty incredible. It is difficult for many people to let their emotions flow into their writing. So I am wondering if this is a process, then what’s the next step toward improvement on “on this whole
"professional looking" type thing”. (What a neat way to phrase it!!!)
For the future teacher with a great sense of humor, here’s a hokey teacher joke:
Teacher: Why have you got cotton wool in your ears, do you have an infection?
Pupil: Well you keep saying that things go in one ear and out the other so I am trying to keep them it all in!
I’m looking forward to reading your next posting!!
Best,
Lani

Esta,
Thank you for the comment!
I love to write with enthusiasm. I hate to read boring things, so when I write i try to use excitement and humor. It keeps you interested and wanting to read it again.
Right now I am thinking about Georgia College and State University or maybe Georgia Southern. I know that those schools have great teaching programs
Thank you for the comment!!
