Wuz up this me chris again Ijust got done reading this book that is called to be a slave. The biggest thing that caught my eye was that the slaves that had babies when they went to work they had to leave there babies in a very big cradle. As the moms worked for hours the babies were still in the cradle. Then it started to rain and the cradles started to fill up with water. As the cradlefilled up with water the babies started to drowned. The babies were all dead when the slaves came back from working.
How do you feel about this story?
I feel very sad and I also feel very sorry for the mother slaves. The mother-child bond is such a very strong one, I hate anyone who can break it up through abuse or neglect or something else. This is just my female hormones passing through me.
The Romans liked to drown their deformed babies too. It is a great tragedy when we think of the babies drowning from whatever cause. It seems to have been entirely accidental. What do you think? Why would someone do such a thing?

Hi Chris,
Your posting brought tears to my eyes-- I can't think of anything more appalling. I can't imagine the pain the mothers felt as they returned to their children. And then I am angry, that any people had to live under such conditions. So what you wrote really played to more than one emotion.
I wonder, are there more recent times that you can think of when people have experienced such sadness, pain and grief?
