About Teacher Cadets

  • This blog was created for a student in a high school who is participating in the Teacher Cadet Program.

The primary goal of the Teacher Cadet Program is to encourage students to consider teaching as a career. A secondary goal is to provide these students insights about teachers and schools so that they will be civic advocates of education.

This blog was created for the student to share learning, insights, questions, and experiences they gain as they participate in the program. Links to other classroom participants are included.

The class blog is located at: Teacher Cadets

Hi Katie,

Wow! That's quite a list of traits that a good teacher should have!!

I wonder if you think that all teachers have all those traits? And if you think that some of those traits are more important than others? If you had to pick just 3, what would you choose?

Best,
Lani

Lani,
I think that it is important to have as many good quality traits as a teacher as possible. I do not think that all teachers will be able to have all of those. Three important traits that a teacher should have are: patience, loving nature, and a love for teaching. I think that if any teacher has atleast these three things, then they will not only succeed as a teacher, but there students will want to come to school and learn!!!

The summary about the teacher comments was just an excerpt from an article that I read. You can read the rest of the article if you want, it should be linked. Thank you for taking the time to comment on my post!!!
