Who is Tookie William ?

Hi, my name is Keithel and I'm here to ask anyone do you know who is Tookie Williams.Tookie Williams was born in Lousiana and moved to California as a teenager. He began falling along with the street as every criminal. He decided to make a gang called the crips. In 1981 he was conviceted for four robbery related murders.He is currently serving a life sentence in California. Here is a link for Stan Tookie Williams. What do you think about Tookie Williams ?

I didn’t know who Tookie Williams was. I read the link you included and then I did some more research.

Why didn’t you tell the whole story in your blog? The part about his writing, the nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize, the Supreme Courts unwillingness to hear his appeal, and the current campaign to grant him clemency. You talked about life is a dash earlier in your blog. Didn't you leave out a big part of Tookie's dash?

I guess I am asking you this because it appears that Tookie has really changed his life. In his interview, he said: "My books, they are about instilling confidence, trying to convince youngsters that they have the potential to succeed in life, and that they don't have to succumb to the stereotypes." I am thinking this is some pretty important work. Would you agree?

You asked "What do you think about Tookie Williams?" I should try and answer that since I just asked you some questions. I think he committed some awful crimes. I think he has changed. I think he is making a meaningful contribution to help young people now. I think it is really too bad that he couldn't have been writing and working to help people when he was younger. Would you agree?

Hi,Lani as you know I did write this article about Tookie Williams . The reason why I didn't write his whole life story is because I didn't know much about him until I saw the movie called Redemption with Jamie Fox. So I want you to check out that movie. Its a great movie.

Hi,Ms.Tincher as you should know that Tookie Williams has made a good change to the community in California. That's where the crips and bloods begin and Tookie Williams made it to where the both gangs can get along with each other. Once again I want to thank you for your comments. Your kidding me right? He killed 4 people in cold blood for a few hundred dollars. 2 famlies RUINED, 2 kids with out a father so good old tookie could go out and get more PCP to smoke. He got a sentence he deserved, has had the conviction upheld in appeals several times (24 years on death row=lots of time for appeals while he still called alot of shots for the Crips while behind bars) Yeah, he wrote some books and probably helped some kids out. i want to know if anyone took a stand for him back then when all this happen or do they feel just because he changed his life and started helping kids get out of gangs did they wanted to help him. What if other murders start making a differnce do they the deserve to live or die. I don't believe in the the death penalty I think it should be left to God. Tookie Williams couldn't save his own life but he help save alot of trouble kids and that what we should remember him by.
