To Be A Slave

In our U.S. History class we have been reading a book called To Be A Slave.(Author Julius Lester) In this book there is a story about a woman, and every time she has a child her master comes and takes her new born out of the crib and sells the child. One day the woman has another child, this time she knows her master is going to sell the new born. So the mother deciedes to kill her own child than to have it be sold to another man and never see it again.

When I read this I was kind of shocked but I understood why she did it. If it was my child in that situation than I might do the same thing. What would you do?

Black History

Hello this is Tim and I'm about black history in my U.S. History class in school. We have learned many things about black history. We have leaned about slavery and about many of the horrible hardships they've gone through. They had it hard coming to america from africa. The slaves were rarely fed and if the ship was running out of the food slavers would throw the slaves overboard. The slavers did that because it was cheaper to kill the slaves than to feed them. The slaves would only get about 1 hour a day to excersize on the top deck. Many of the slaves died on the trip to america. The ones that did not die on the way were soon wishing they had. When the slave ship got to america the slaves were washed and oiled up to look good on the auction block. Once on the auction block the slaves were sold to the highest bidder. Families were torn apart from each other by getting sold to different owners. Once the slaves were sold they were taken to their new owners plantation. Life on the platation was horrible if you were sold in the south. Well about any platation a slave is on is going to be horrible. If the slave mouthed off they'd be whipped, they ran they would be whipped beaten and most likely chained.

Out of luck

Hello it’s me again, Tim. Did you all miss me, it’s been a week since my last posting. For this posting I’m going to talk about what is wrong with our system of education. In our system of education it’s pretty much that if you don’t have a high school diploma or some type of degree then you’re really out of luck. What I mean by out of luck is that without one of those 2 very important things (high school diploma/degree) then the way you live is pretty much sealed. What I’m saying is without one or sometimes both of things all the jobs you’d be getting are going to be low-paying, degrading, and mediocre. You’ll pretty much be living a life that you and your family don’t want to live. You’ll be working more than one job just to get by. On the other hand let’s say you’ve got a college degree, with that degree you’ll most definitely going to be better off than someone else without a degree. That person with the degree will have a better home, better income, and might be having a better over all life. All this has everything to do with the business and the government and how messed up this stuff sounds BUT THIS IS ALL TRUE.

What I like about weblogs

Hello all this is Tim, and I'm using this post today to talk about what  I like about the weblogs. The best thing about this is being able to get my ideas about alot of things that  I listen to and believe in. Things like anarchy, how the government is getting more and more corrupted by the minute, the music I listen to, and how people try to bring you down. Also at first I thought that this weblog thing was kind of boring until I was able to write about my ideals and many other things. So now I think weblogs is pretty cool now because of what it gives me.

Being really frustrated by trying to learn something

The last time I had a hard time learning something was when I was trying to learn how to play the bass guitar. It took me a long time to be able to learn cards and frets. Even after I learned all of them I got confused with the cards when I was playing extremely fast. So my brother R.J. found a way to fix that problem. He fixed it by buying me a fretless bass. The only problem with a fretless bass guitar is when you play a song once, the second time rarely sounds like the first, but close. The reason for that is because frets show were your finger go. Without them your fingers are free to move along the cards. So your fingers hit the same place with frets, and without them you get within a close area of where your first rift began.

My introduction

Hello all this is Tim, I'm using this weblog for the first time.(I'm writing out of my English class.) I'm going to tell all of you what I'm going to talk about.(Well some of the things.) I'm an anarchist, meaning I don't believe government, laws, money things like that. I also play bass guitar alot, I don't play non of that mainstream junk like what most people call Punk Rock, "Rap", and all that other stuff. I play things like black metal and Punk from the late 80's to the mid to late 90's. I also listen to the only good type of rap their is, underground. I'm talking about artists like Insane Clown Posse, Twiztid, Kottonmouth Kings, The Wolfpack, Blaze Ya Dead Homie, ABK, Tech N9ne, E-40, and others. So I'm thinking that this weblog thing is a good way to get some of my ideals, interests, and other things that are important to me.
