Hey! My name is Allie and I am in a Teacher Cadet class where we study to be teacher interns. I am a sophmore at my high school. In this class we have been learning about the different age groups and how to act around youger kids. We will be going to our local elementary school to help teachers out next semester. Once I am a senior I will be able to become a paid apprentice.
Right now I am a cheerleader and will begin to play other sports in the new season. I have younger siblings and I love kids. Over the summer I would like to work at camp for younger kids and continue babysitting like I have done in the past.
Later I would like to go to college in North Carolina and get my masters degree in education. I hope to work in a first or second grade class and I am very open to any comments or suggestions to help me.
Hey Allie! I am an instructional technology specialist at JH House Elementary in Rockdale. I think the class you are taking is great. I know you will learn a lot - especially when you start working with the kids.
I have a few friends who graduated from North Georgia College. It is a great school. How did you decide on North Georgia as the college of your choice?

Allie,
I think working at a camp this summer is a great way of finding out if teaching is for you. You seem to have the energy and the attitude for the classroom.
Which colleges are you looking at in North Carolina? There are some terrific schools there. My brother graduated from Chapel Hill.
