Have you ever thought about the one teacher that made the biggest difference in your life? I have, and its surprising how much my third and fifth grade teachers did for me. I was in ESOL and had a third and fifth grade class at the same time! I could I do it ? Easy. Mrs.Folk my life saver! She would explain everything in a way that I could understand sinceIdid not know much English. She made a big impact on my life she thought me the English language, she would let us play games with words in order to learn . Even thought I was 9 it seemed as though she was teaching Pre-k. It was so much fun and plus we got to learn alot and speak good English. I think that I owe Mrs.Folk everything that I am today! If it wasn't for her I would have never succeeded in life as well as I do now!
Dear Karen,
Thank you for your nice comments. It is always such a pleasure to hear nice things like this, especially from a student from several years back.
This is my last year. I am retiring at the end of this school year. I have been teaching 33 years and all of them at J. H. House!
I like to share my "33 Year Story". I have been at the same school 33 years, have been married to the same man 33 years, have lived in the same house 33 years, and still drive the same car for 33 years! My old 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass is still going.
Thanks again for your nice "blog". Best wishes for your future.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Folk
