Kids in the fourth grade can some times be a serious headache, but they can also be very nice and lovable. I think that when i go to the elementary school in the morning it's the best part of my day. I, as a becoming teacher in the future would certainly like to work with kids in the fourth grade. I would also like to work with kids in ESOL just because of the simple reason that I feel that being an ESOL teacher can make such a big difference in so many kids lives. So when I graduate college I would like to go in the fourth grade level of teaching.
Hi Karen,
I found your blog by way of the comment you posted on Anne Davis' Teacher Cadet site. Just wanted to pop over and say hello and see how you were doing with your pursuit of teaching as a career.
I teach K-4, and while I enjoy the youngest students the most, I also have a daughter in 4th grade (yes, in the school where I teach!) and that is a magical time. They are old enough to be responsive to your direction but also young enough to, for the most part, still respect you as a teacher. I wish you all the best in your quest. Keep on keepin' on!
